Okay! where is it? what happens when a file is sent to the compressed zip folder and how does one fine the folder to deal with it or send it to someone or copy it to a cd? Thanks.
when you select a folder and send it to a zip folder, you end up with two folders when you are done in the winzip wizard. You get your original unzipped folder, and the zip folder. Oh, a handy little tip. You can't burn an audio CD from mp3s or wav files etc that are zipped, even if your burning program sees the files. It won't work. You'd have to unzip it first.
Actually, let me elaberate. I do not have winzip installed. Aparently, WinXP has a zip utillity built in or at least it seems like it. In my sendTo menu there is compressed zip folder. I am going to assume that WinXP has some zipping capabillity and somethinkg happens when items are sent there whereever that is. So, 5 pats on the back with a golden dog paw if you can tell me where it is...(Paw belongs to WillieTheWoof him Self). Not available in all countries, restricted in most states. Batteries not included and your parents put it together...
That's what guitargod is saying, he won the paw before it was even up for grabs. When you create a folder it is automatically stored in the same place as the thing that you are zipping. It will also be called exactly the same name as the item being zipped too, just with the .zip extention at the end. Well done GG! lol.
Pat,Pat,Pat!!!!! wooo'f'f'f'f and a harty thanks from my human....
